Fibromyalgia is a puzzle that is being solved by researchers for a much longer time and no root cause has been discovered. There are a number of symptoms shown and some of the symptoms are the same as the symptoms of other medical conditions like lupus, chronic fatigue, myofascial syndrome, depression, arthritis, and so on.
More than 5 million people are suffering from fibromyalgia in the US, who are living with horrible pain by not even getting to perform routine activities. Some people can’t even get out of the bed. Some people try to manage their life as much as they can. But for some people, it can make them disabled.
There is only a little knowledge that we have about fibromyalgia and with every passing year, it feels like we are less knowledgeable about fibromyalgia. Opinions changed with the changes in the diagnosis process.
When it was examined by identifying 18 tender points in the human body, it was believed that at least 11 points should have the pain to be diagnosed with fibromyalgia. However, this process is less followed by doctors because of the reason that there are also people having fibromyalgia with less painful tender points.
A lot of symptoms are there including irritable bowel syndrome, irritable bladder, arthritis, joint pain, restless leg syndrome, fibro fog, headaches, and so on. All of these symptoms confuse doctors and make them think that patient is suffering from some other disease instead of fibromyalgia. Due to this, the patient starts getting the wrong treatment.
Fibromyalgia hasn’t had any cure till now. But it can be treated with medications, physical therapies, and alternative therapies too. Some medications targets a specific symptom or these can be the medications approved by the FDA for the treatment of this syndrome. The FDA-approved drugs are Lyrica, Cymbalta, and Savella.
The first two were previously helped in diabetic nerve pain, seizures, depression, and anxiety. The latter was the first medicine approved for fibromyalgia. It works as an anti-depressant too. So there can be side effects of this medicine as well.
A lot of theories have been developing over what actually causes fibromyalgia. One of the theories says that fibromyalgia can be caused by genetics. There are people whose family member has developed fibromyalgia. Moreover, it was also believed that certain genes are responsible for alleviating pain more severely.
In addition to this, fibromyalgia can be developed due to a lack of sleep. Some people believe that insomnia is a cause of fibromyalgia and not a symptom of it. Insomnia can cause the body to perceive pain more severely than people with good sleep.
Sodas are not useful for our bodies. Our stomachs can be destroyed with the acids present in them. Sugars in them are so much harm to everyone as well as our whole body can be destroyed by the additives. However, whenever we think of any harmful sodas, we think that only those sodas are harmful than containing sugar. This concept is totally wrong.
The major reason for these diet sodas to be harmful is the main ingredient which is replaced from sugar i.e. aspartame. It has other names too like NutraSweet. The processing temperature exceeds 85 degrees F when aspartame is used in the sodas. At this stage, it might transform into formic acid and Formaldehyde. For the human body, Formic acid can be extremely very harmful. It can be as harmful as a fire ant’s sting containing this poison.
Methanol toxicity is developed in the body which causes a lot of symptoms when this poison is entered into your body. Symptoms are shown in people that are similar to lupus, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia. People might don’t know these things and continue to take more aspartame which makes the condition even more badly.
While the exact cause of fibromyalgia is not explained but it is true that diet coke is also as unhealthy as other sodas are. You should eliminate sodas from your diet immediately if you have ever been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. You should even try to remove aspartame intake at any cost. Drink 8 glasses of water daily and you will feel much healthier than before.
